Nicca is a medical student at the University of Melbourne and recovering lawyer. Nicca has a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Biomedical Science, and extensive professional writing experience gained in government and the not for profit sector. She has a passion for literature and writing, and is a published fiction author. She is a friendly, patient and organised GAMSAT tutor with a genuine interest and passion in helping students excel.

Competitive Edge was established by Nicca Grant. After achieving section 1 and 2 GAMSAT scores in the 99th percentile, Nicca began tutoring aspiring medical and dentistry students. She discovered that many of her students, most of whom had a science-based background, lacked confidence with the humanities component of the GAMSAT. Many of her students had attended preparation courses, but were disappointed with the lack of individual attention and feedback. Recognising a need, she partnered with an experienced professional to develop a structured course and accompanying textbook, suitable for intensive classroom delivery.
