I have 2 years of experience teaching Japanese to 6th grade students in East Tennessee. Born in Japan, I also lived in Shanghai, China, and am fluent in both Japanese and English. I believe tutoring is effective for teaching languages and also about cultures and ideas. One-on-one instruction can have a big impact on the teacher and student and promote personal development. Tutoring has help me follow my own passion in education, which I believe is one of the key elements of international and personal development. Working individually with students is a great way to honor their personal strengths and concentrate on strengthening their weaknesses, while providing the opportunity for them to ask questions and gain the practice they need without distraction.
