I previously majored in neuropsychology and minored in literature at Monash University and am currently studying for a Juris Doctor at Melbourne University.

I am a VCE English and Literature teacher at John Monash Science School and an English tutor. I can work with students regardless of their proficiency level, specializing in helping them improve their understanding of texts, metaphors, symbols and author intent, and sentence and essay structure as well as expand their vocabulary. During personalized, one-on-one study sessions, I can also help students develop key skills needed to reach for higher marks in their course and on an exam. I have a friendly approach to tutoring and am an effective communicator, while able to apply my passion for the spoken and written word when working with a student to help them gain not only a better understanding of English, but a love of learning new reading, writing, and speaking skills.

My hobbies include writing short stories for Rookie Magazine and painting, whilst completing my Masters in Law at Melbourne University. I am a friendly and intelligent young woman that has the ability to communicate effectively, and convey onwards my love for the spoken and written word. I believe that I can really teach those who may not have a natural propensity for english or literature, not only to learn and in some cases even love the subject. I don't believe that english should necessarily contribute to the many stresses of VCE, so my intent is to make learning this subject as easy as possible. If your son or daughter commits a few hours a week to this subject, it should be easy for them to score well, and write well for the rest of their lives. English is an investment for the mind, and for the rest of your childs life, not only VCE.
