I scored 99.35 on the ATAR. I was a Kwong Lee Dow Young Scholars Program Member. I attended the University of Melbourne and studied topics like IB Mathematics HL. I am currently studying pure maths at Melbourne University. In high school, I completed IB Maths HL, doing an option in sequences and series. Since starting college, I have completed a broad range of math subjects in algebra and analysis. My favorite subjects are lots of abstraction and proof, but I am interested in teaching high school math. From my volunteer tutoring experience, I believe that the way math is taught in high school is insufficient. If students could see the depth and interesting aspects of mathematics, they would find it a lot more enjoyable and easier to study. I can break even the most difficult math problems down so that they make more sense.

Hobbies
I love maths and studying my degree. I also love making music, which I find ties into maths in interesting ways. I also love going to the football to watch my favourite (hapless) team; the Richmond Tigers. I have a huge interest in teaching high school maths. From my experience in volunteer tutoring, I believe that the way maths is taught in high school is insufficient. I think if students could see the depth and interesting aspects of mathematics, they would find it a lot more enjoyable and easier to study.
