I have a master's degree in Computer Applications.
Experience
I have three years of college teaching experience and four more working with younger students, so I'm no stranger to how classroom settings work. I also have about 10 years of experience as a private tutor, so I'm comfortable working in 1-on-1 learning environments as well. I am comfortable teaching all standard elementary school topics including reading, writing, math, and science. I can also leverage my background in computer science to help older students with undergrad-level coursework. Kids study best in safe learning environments, so I do everything in my power to make sure that children feel comfortable during our meetings. That means introducing new material that students find stimulating but not overwhelming, welcoming questions whenever they arise, and explaining everything as clearly as I can. I'm looking forward to meeting you and your student to discuss how I can help them pursue their goals!
