I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from UCLA with a GPA of 3.65 out of 4.0, as well as being an Alpha Lambda Delta and Phi Eta Sigma Honor societies member. I also have a Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from UCLA with a GPA of 3.9 out of 4.0. In high school, I was an honor and Advanced Placement student and a member of the California Honor Society.
Experience
I specialize in teaching chemistry, environmental science, statistics, and TOEFL. I explain difficult concepts in an easy-to-understand manner and will help you to "see the forest for the trees". Whether you are trying to get the hang of difficult coursework, keep up with your homework, or need help achieving a high score on an exam, I can provide you with the assistance and guidance to help you navigate your coursework and ease your stress along the way. My previous experience includes tutoring university students in chemistry and covering subjects such as stoichiometry, atomic and molecular structure, equilibrium, acids, and bases. I have also tutored university-level statistics. One of my students achieved the highest midterm exam grades in her class. The coursework for my Bachelor and Master of Science degrees included physical chemistry, environmental chemistry, physics, environmental science, single and multivariable calculus, differential equations, linear algebra, statistics, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics. I can also tutor for the TOEFL exam. I scored in the 90th percentile in the Verbal Reasoning section of the Graduate Record Exam (GRE).
