Education
I earned a Certification in Teaching of Italian as a Foreign Language from the University of Venice in 2008. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Languages with distinction from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. I also have a Master of Arts in Migration Studies from the University of Sussex. I completed a Teaching Italian as a Second Language to Illiterate Students Training Course in 2009, and a Teaching and Learning Italian as a Second Language Training Course as well.
Experience
I have more than fifteen years of experience in education. Three of those years of experience as a teacher have taught Italian as a foreign language to all ages and levels. Italian is my native language, and I am fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. I also speak French at an intermediate level. I am an author of educational guides and research pieces with the British Council and the International Organization for Migration. I love teaching. I am friendly and patient and have a passion for empowering students to improve their Italian and get more confident about their abilities.

Hobbies
I am a mother and love everything related to education, inside and outside the classroom. I also love travelling and exploring other cultures, languages and traditions. An avid reader, I love nonfiction books, especially those related to education and personal growth. Active listening and empathy are among my main interests. They are also at the core of my teaching and professional experience. I also love the outdoors, meditation, pilates, trekking and swimming. Finally, I am a self-taught home decorator.
