Experience
I have eight years of experience tutoring standardized tests as well as all high school subjects. I was also director of academic development at Bold Athlete where I developed and implemented programs for the SAT, math, and reading and writing. I love tutoring because I get a thrill from getting students past mental blocks related to whatever topic they are struggling with. My greatest strength as a tutor is my ability to relate to students. I have worked with students across all age groups, so I had to develop this skill set. I have also had diverse experiences, from being a professional hockey player to working in medical research, which allows me to draw on my past to connect with students from all types of backgrounds and interests. To succeed in anything requires hard work, so I never promise shortcuts to success. However, I like to help my students develop positive study habits and attitudes instead of just giving them a quick, transient fix.
