I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at the Swinburne University of Technology. I already hold an MSc in Industrial Engineering from the Khulna University of Engineering and an Honours bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution.
Experience
I have been an Academic Tutor at Swinburne University since 2012, primarily tutoring subjects such as machine design, thermodynamics, statistics, and project management. I gained firsthand experience with many of the tasks expected of educators in this role, including planning lessons, communicating student progress, marking exams and other assignments, conducting tutorial classes, demonstrating laboratory procedures, and building relationships with undergraduates. I was also an assistant professor at the Khulna University of Engineering and Technology for approximately four years. I determined that my students did not have the background information required to complete the course on designing machine elements and pivoted to an explanation of the basic theory that received positive feedback. I also solicited feedback to help me improve as an instructor and succeeded in creating professional mentoring relationships with numerous pupils.
