Private tutor in Melbourne, Australia

Education

I graduated from high school in 2012 with an IB diploma and a score of 39. I have completed a Bachelor of Medical Science (Advanced) majoring in Anatomy and Physiology. I graduated with a GPA of 6.85 in 2015. I am currently doing a Doctor of Medicine degree at Melbourne University.

Experience

I have tutored high school Biology in the past as well as done peer tutoring for Anatomy and Physiology subjects in undergrad. During my medical degree, I have helped people understand Section I and Section II of the GAMSAT and my students have scored 70+ in those sections. I feel confident that I can help people doing Biomedicine or Medical Science or even people trying to fulfil prerequisites for Medicine. I have a passion in helping people and I feel that this reflects in my punctuality, my preparedness for every lesson and my non-judgemental attitude.

Hobbies

I feel that life is about enriching yourself both in terms of your personality and your knowledge. People believe that medical students spend all their time studying but I enjoy a healthy blend of studiousness and enjoying life. You can often find me in a cafe reading a favourite book or at a nursery looking for a new plant to adorn my place. I also wanted to know how to apply makeup and made it a point to learn that to a proficient level. My current project involves me learning how to speak Spanish to aid in my travels to South America later on in the year. I will be going to Chile to work in a hospital and explore how the Chilean health system differs from Australian health. The disparity between the rich and the poor is one I am keen to explore and possibly help ameliorate as I work in a different country. My passion to be a doctor comes from my strong feeling of social justice and equality and I feel that tutoring would be an ideal job to have while studying that allows me to help others in their studies.
