Education
In 2013, I completed my high school education which included the subjects math methods, specialist maths, physical education, biology, chemistry, and English language. I also achieved Dux of my college cohort. In 2016, I graduated with a Bachelor of Biomedicine degree majoring in Anatomy and Physiology from the University of Melbourne with a perfect 7.0 GPA. In 2017, I started studying for a Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Melbourne.
Experience
In the 5 years that I have been tutoring, I have worked with students ranging from grade 3 to the university level. This has trained me to adapt and pitch my lessons at an appropriate level for each student's understanding and requirements. It has also taught me the importance of adapting my lessons to the learning styles of my students because the same method is not always appropriate for all students, particularly an 8-year-old compared to a first-year university student. Each year, as I have gained more experience, learning more about what a great tutor requires, the results my students have achieved have steadily increased. I have found that a solid lesson plan, adapting to specific learning styles, and a good personal connection with my students have really contributed positively to the outcomes. I enjoy tutoring because I have a passion for learning. As a tutor, I enjoy sharing this with my students and helping them to engage or feel the same way about their studies. I have a strong grasp of the course requirements for the VCE and university subjects I tutor, but given my further studies in the field, I am able to provide supplementary and interesting information to further my students' understanding. With this passion for learning, my ability to relate to others, and my understanding of the course requirements, my services provide an extra supporting hand to help my students achieve their desired scores. My lessons are very individualized to the needs of each student but I also focus a lot on training my students on how to answer exam-style questions effectively. I generally have an even distribution of course material and practice questions when it suits the students I am tutoring. I also have a Working with Children Check.
