Private tutor in Melbourne, Australia

Education

I am currently a student, pursuing my Bachelor of Science at Monash University with a WAM of 80.26.

Experience

I want to be a tutor because I enjoy helping others to understand and learn complex concepts. This helps to cement my knowledge by keeping it in use. I really enjoy learning and am a visual learner myself; however, I can easily adapt my tutoring style to better suit different styles of learning. I find that it is often most helpful to apply difficult concepts to a range of common situations and I have developed a range of useful study techniques to ensure understanding of the content that my student may find hard to grasp. My emphasis is on understanding as this is the best way to remember things and makes the learning process more enjoyable too. I can incorporate activities that promote independent learning skills, which can help students feel more confident in their self-study.

Availability

Thursday in the morning, Friday in the afternoon, Weekends at any time

Hobbies

I find that I move through hobbies and interests quite often (probably as part of my need to constantly be learning), but have a consistent interest in: animals, plants, biology and neuroscience, French language (I'm currently self-studying it), and dinosaurs.
