Education
I earned my bachelor's in geography and environment at the University of Dhaka, where I also earned my master's in the same field. I studied for my Bachelor of Education at the Bangladesh Open University. I completed the Certificate III in Adult Migrant English Program at Moreland Adult Education course at Melbourne Polytechnic. I also have Certificate III in Educational Support from the Kangan Institute in Melbourne.
Experience
Between 2013 and 2016, I was the Lecturer and Head of the Department of Geography at Notre Dame College in Bangladesh. I taught Physical Geography, Economic Geography, and Commercial Geography. I wrote a geography practical guidebook that provides instructions for drawing linear and diagonal scales; map enlargement and reduction; contour and relief; Isohyet; and bar graphs and pie charts. In 2012, I spent a year as an assistant teacher at Ideal School and College in Bangladesh, where I taught social sciences for high school students. I also taught primary-level students general subjects, covered physical activity for secondary-level students. I also transcribed a General Knowledge book from Bengali to English. My work experience as a teacher and student advisor has provided me with extensive knowledge of the academic advising process and the challenges of student life. I possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling students to trust in the guidance and information that I provide. Furthermore, I have experience in training and development, which qualifies me for dealing with program development issues and implementing training programs for faculty and advisors.
