Experience***Tutor VCE English LANGUAGE not English or Literature
Hi! My name is Jess and I'm a tutor currently studying at the University of Melbourne.
I taught many students in 2013, 2014 and 2015 all with very positive results as the reviews reflect. I have extensive experience in helping students who have not so helpful school teachers or are just looking to get ahead of the pack.
I find my tutoring can be effective as it is helpful to pinpoint exactly what it is you need to improve on and classes can be tailored to how you individually learn. For example, I have found some student prefer a more methodical traditional approach to things while others are more concept based and learn better with discussion. I hope to be able to help by focusing specifically on what the student needs and adjust how I teach accordingly.
Prefer to take pairs this year as I will not be able to take many students in 2016 due to an intensive uni timetable. However, this is particularly beneficial for English language as you may work together to pool recourses and listen to each others feedback. In addition I offer a discount for pairs or groups.
Friendly, patient personality. If interested please don't hesitate to contact me.

Amazing tutor. Jessica explains things with amazing clarity on a relatable level. She is a very down to earth tutor who engages her students throughout the lesson making sure that they have a sound understanding on fundamental concepts and knowledge. Highly recommended.
Superb Tutor. Remarkably Intelligent, Incredibly Funny, and easily understood. Easily the only reason I would do well I would do well in English Language Would (and have) recommended to friends and other people!
I owe my success in English Language 3&4 entirely to Jess! By far, the best tutor I've had, as she was extremely knowledgeable and great at teaching. Throughout the year, we had weekly tutoring sessions in which Jess would teach me the course content in detail, help me prepare for assessments/exams and mark my essays to ensure that I was constantly improving. Whenever I struggled to grasp certain concepts or continuously made errors, Jess would always help me overcome these obstacles which proved that she was not only was a knowledgeable person, but she was incredibly patient, approachable and supportive. I felt as if I was a friend, rather than a student. Also, Jess' friendly and enthusiastic personality ensured that each session was engaging and enjoyable. I highly recommend Jess as a tutor if you wish to excel in your subject!
Jess tutored me in English Language 3/4 this year and she really helped me with my essay writing and analytical commentaries. She goes through all the corrections thoroughly and has honestly helped me so much more than my previous tutor.
Jess is a fantastic tutor. she has so much knowledge from uni bio and uses that to really broaden your knowledge of biology. she uses analogies and simple examples with animations and diagrams to ensure perfect understanding. One the best tutors (i've had 8 tutors before)
Lovely and reliable! Jessica uses simple analogies to understand the concepts of biology. 10/10, would recommend.
